At 6 months old, Belfrey took the title as Champion North American Foal at the IDHSNA breed show.

Belfrey’s sire is the stunning jumping and dressage talent and a notable sire of sires, Snowford Bellman, RID Class 1.

Belfrey's dam, Flagmount Belle, RID, won numerous IDHS(NA) championships and earned the prestigious title of Irish Draught Champion of North America. Her flawless conformation destined all of her foals to win IDHSNA Champion or Reserve Champion Foal. Belfrey’s maternal grandsire, Flagmount King, RID, was one of only 2 Grade “A” Grand Prix Show Jumping RID stallions in the world at that time. Extreme jumping talent from the sire’s maternal line is claimed by Irish Countrymen to be the key ingredient to produce the best jumping sires.

Belfrey descends from distinguished jumping lines of Laughton, Tara and King of Diamonds as well as the rare lines of Atlantic Boy and Rusheen Hero. Belfrey granddam is the all-time greatest producing dam of Approved RID stallion sons in Irish Draught history, Gowran Betty, RID. Gowran Betty, RID paired with one of the most notable jumping sires, King of Diamonds, made headlines with 7 Approved Registered Irish Draught stallions. King of Diamonds stamped his progeny and grand progeny with traditional Irish Draught type and undeniably superior jumping talent. Royally bred top and bottom, Belfrey is highly regarded internationally by judges and top Irish Draught breeders.
